The successfull combination of Sangermani shipyard knowledge and the designs of Nauta Yachts and Bruce Farr results in the beautiful and comfortable sailing yacht EL BAILE. Hull and deck are built of composite material with an epoxy matrix and using vacuum bag techniques. Kevlar has been additionally used for its high mechanical and shock absorbing effects to strengthen the hull structure and to reduce weight. The keel – a bulb and winglet configuration - was designed by Bruce Farr taking advantage of extensive hydrodynamic research experience. Her powerful four spreader spar and sailplan enables high performance sailing with minimum crew. The yacht offers two cockpits: An aft cockpit with steering position and all required control sys- tems and a spacious guest cockpit midships, easily to be sheltered with a bimini. A sunbathing area between the cockpits completes the deck layout.

EL BAILE – a blue water proven and easy to handle fast and stiff yacht, that makes sailing dreams come true!

Extensive use of Kevlar has been included for its high mechanical and shock absorbing proper- ties, while close cell foam core adds stiffness to the structure as well as thermal and acoustic insu- lation. All the bulkheads and partial bulkheads are built in composite and fastened to hull and deck using vacuum bag techniques. The result of this construction method is a very strong mono- coque structure where each component contributes to the overall strength and relative lightness of the structure of the yacht.

The keel is designed by Bruce Farr taking advantage of extensive hydrodynamic research experi- ence. Keel geometry shows a bulb and winglets configuration at the bottom end of a steel fabri- cated fin, allowing for concentration of the 3% antimony / lead ballast as low as possible in order to achieve the required righting moment within a modest draft of 3.6 metres.
Deck Equipment

A high aspect ratio spade rudder is built in composite on a corrosion free titanium rudder stock. The rudder stock is hung on two self-aligning bearings.

EL BAILE is the product of the co-operation between Nauta Yachts and Bruce Farr, good-looking with a timeless style. She sails very well and easily at 35 knots of wind experienced during a Sea Trial.
Anchor and chain: 180 lb / 81 kg CQR anchor, 135m/445′ 14mm diameter high tensile chain with painted reference marks spaced at 15 meters. 2x FX85 Fortress anchor

The interior layout starts in the well lit pilothouse which provides good shelter and a nice viewing platform as the world goes by. The lower saloon is naturally lit from above yet provides a distinct- ly different area. A good sized dining area is to port and a lounging area to starboard. All the crew area and galley is forward of the saloon with the guest area aft and accessed from the pilothouse. Immediately at the foot of the steps, you find a twin guest cabin with upper and lower berths. The double guest cabins are to port and starboard with the owner’s cabin furthest aft. All four cabins have en suite facilities. The joinery style is understated but attractively executed by Sangermani.
